glimmering hope and mary with some shrooms

i just bought these two new stamps.  there's a whole series of them and i plan on buying them ALL.  because if you've been reading this blog, you know i'm obsessive like that.  i just adore them.  they're so pathetic and adorable at the same time. how could you not love them. they're called Glimmering Hope and Mary, and you can find them here:
glimmering hope
and
mary

i plan to use them for xmas cards!  you're probably say 'huh, but they're goth, halloween no?', well yes, halloween cards, xmas cards... just think glimmering hope with a santa hat on her head a gold star on her chest and a sparkly sparkly dress with lots of glitter.  and mary with a santa hat and a candy cane in her hand and some presents at her feet.  ah.  genious.  gonna give it a try this weekend and see how it goes.  i always say i'm gonna make xmas cards, and then never do it.  so i'm determined this year.  hopefully i'll have something to show you this weekend.
and since i'm on a stamping kick, this is what I bought the week before:
giant shroom
and
mushroom group

how adorable are they.  there was another text stamp to go with it that read, 'everyone needs a quiet place to hide' , would'a gotten it but the funds ran out.  laugh.  shhh don't tell my husband.  he's complaining that i'm using up the mortgage and the babysitting funds.  laugh more.  i told him to then get himself a 2nd job.  let's just say, he wasn't laughing or amused in the least.

and alsas, another one of my paintings.  this one sketched in front of a mirror trying to seriously capture me.  i like the light and dark.  and the definition of the eyes, but not liking the hair and the nose.  how do you paint hair?  i just can't figure it out.  arghhh.

you need to click on the picture to get a better view of it

happy souls and saints day!!

Those ARE cool stamps. Love them. I'm sure you will create some really cool and unique greeting cards with them!

You have so many good things here. Looking much forward to exploring your blog further.

The header reminds me so much of my very talented old world mother's embroidery on the edges of pillowcases and bed sheets. I kept a baby-sized pillow case with little ducks embroidered on it. And there is blue sheet set with lovely tiny rosettes.

Thanks for your visit to The Pagan Sphinx.

Ciao!
